Ground-Bearing and Reinforced Slab Construction

We build concrete slabs for a wide range of structural and surface-level applications:

• Ground-bearing slabs for warehouses, units, and modular buildings

• Heavy-duty yard slabs for loading, vehicle, or plant areas

• Internal floor slabs for sheds and commercial premises

• Equipment bases and machine plinths

• Garage and workshop floors

Each slab is designed to suit ground conditions, loading, finish requirements, and movement joints. We follow engineered specifications and reinforcement schedules to deliver high-strength results.

Slab Build-Up Process

Our teams manage the full slab construction process from base to finish:

1. Excavation to formation level

2. Membrane or blinding layer (if specified)

3. Steel fixing – mesh or bar reinforcement tied and set with spacers

4. Formwork – timber or modular shuttering to define slab edge

5. Concrete pour – pumped or direct pour with vibration

6. Finishing – brush, float, or power-trowel finish

7. Curing and protection

8. Optional sealing or surface hardener

We can also form upstands, duct entries, surface slopes, and expansion joints as part of the pour.

Structural Bases and Plinths

In addition to slabs, we construct:

• RC bases for tanks, silos, and equipment

• Upstands for retaining structures

• Pile caps and tie beams

• Generator and transformer plinths

• External plant bases and bunds

All work is completed to specification, with steel placement and pour quality verified before sign-off.

Certified Crews and Quality Control

Our slab teams include:

• CSCS steel fixers and groundworkers

• CPCS or NPORS plant operators

• SMSTS/SSSTS supervisors

• NVQ-qualified shuttering carpenters

We follow strict QA procedures with:

• Reinforcement inspections

• Slump and cube testing

• Laser-checked flatness

• Safe access and pour sequencing
