We install all common types of concrete foundation systems depending on the project requirements, ground conditions, and structural loadings:

• Strip foundations – ideal for load-bearing walls and small buildings

• Trench fill foundations – fast, efficient solution with deep concrete fill

We work to engineer drawings and building control requirements, ensuring proper dimensions, concrete cover, and finish quality for long-term stability.

Excavation and Preparation

We carry out the full groundwork scope required for foundation construction:

• Site strip and level setting

• Excavation to formation level (machine or hand-dug)

• Setting out lines and pins from site plans

• Rebar placement and tying (where required)

• Blinding concrete or membranes (if specified)

• Pouring with vibrated concrete and finishing

Depth and width are checked against drawings, and all pours are supervised and signed off by our site manager or client representative.

Safety, Certification and Quality Control

All operatives are CSCS-certified and trained in safe excavation, concrete placement, and temporary works. We provide:

• Full RAMS and temporary works plans (if needed)

• Supervision from SSSTS/SMSTS managers

• Slump testing and cube samples

• Reinforcement inspection prior to pour

• Safe access for plant and concrete delivery

We liaise with building control or warranty inspectors to ensure correct sequencing and sign-off.
