Drainage Testing Services

Before new drainage systems can be adopted or backfilled, they must be tested to prove integrity and flow performance. We carry out:

• For foul drainage runs

• Quick, effective method to identify joint leaks

• Compliant with Building Regulations and local authority standards

▸ Water Pressure Testing

• Used for surface water systems or deeper installations

• Measures water retention and identifies defects

• Required for certain adoptable systems

▸ CCTV Drainage Surveys (by request)

• Visual inspection of pipe runs

• Useful for record submission or post-build inspection

• Identifies root ingress, debris, or deformation

All testing is recorded and results provided to clients, engineers, or inspectors as needed.

Public Sewer and Mains Connections

If your drainage system connects to an existing public sewer or highway manhole, we carry out safe, approved connections under Section 106 and Street Works regulations.

Typical connection works include:

• Core drilling or saddle tee connections to existing manholes

• New manhole construction over existing live runs

• Installation of final outfall pipe to sewer

• Highway excavation and reinstatement

• Traffic management and permits (Section 50)

We liaise directly with water authorities (e.g. Severn Trent, Yorkshire Water) and submit any required as-built drawings or inspection documents.

Safe, Certified, and Coordinated

All testing and connection works are carried out by:

• Street Works (NRSWA) qualified operatives

• CSCS-certified drainage engineers

• Confined space trained staff (where required)

• Supervisors with SSSTS/SMSTS certification

We ensure all excavations are supported, surface reinstatement is compliant, and handover documentation is complete and inspection-ready.
