Proper Ground Preparation and Sub-Base

A lasting driveway starts below the surface. We excavate to the correct depth, install weed membranes if required, and lay a compacted MOT Type 1 or Type 3 sub-base. All edges are retained with kerbs, setts, or concrete haunching to prevent movement.

Our process includes:

• Reduced level excavation

• Sub-base placement and full compaction

• Drainage integration or permeable alternatives

• Edge restraints or border detailing

• Laying of surface layer and finishing touches

Drainage and Surface Water Management

Driveways must comply with local SUDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) rules where applicable. We design and install drainage to prevent pooling and surface water runoff, including:

• Linear ACO drainage
